We have had a few user reviews posted in our forums and so far users seem to be impressed with the new phone:
The build quality of the phone is nothing short of stunning. Metal (listening, Nokia?), sturdy back to the slider and a feeling of weight (e.g. quality) - Its smaller than I thought it would be, thinner (ish) than my N95 8Gb and about the same length and width with slider closed - The new 3d effects when you rotate the screen and go from one menu to another are quite fun - Music player has been updated, album cover in the middle, nice neon bar showing time left on song, and an Apple style reflection effect under the album art nice

You can read user reviews of the i8510 here If you have a i8510 (Lucky you!) why not post your review of the phone in our forum for others? Is it a worthy replacement for a N95 8gb? Is it a N96 killer? Let us know!
Here is the test video recorded by Mobile PC Online china, I have uploaded this to youtube as the oringinal is almost 8mb in size.
Word in that the Samsung i8510 Innov8 was released in Dubai, UAE a few days ago. But its rumoured to have a hefty price tag of USD $1200+
Cnet UK have reviewed the Samsung i8510 Innov8 and given it an impressive 8.9 out of 10! Not bad at all.
“Having not properly reviewed the Nokia N96 just yet, we don’t want to speak too soon and say the Samsung i8510 definitely wins out, but what we can say is this is Samsung’s best phone yet. A solid design combined with more features than you can shake a moose at, the i8510 genuinely took us by surprise.
We knew that the Samsung mobile team had it in them to make something great, but the i8510 is excellent and a worthy choice for any smartphone fans out there. We’d even go as far as to say that if you’re looking for something other than an N95 or N96, this is it.’”

Thanks Tejstar for the heads up!
Chinese website mobile Pconline has reviewed the Samsung i8510 and have tested the camera for its strengths and weaknesses. Both Marco, Daylight and night samples from the camera were taken. As you can see in daylight the camera is as good as a 8mp digital camera. Its weakness is in the night shots, without a xenon flash it blurs slightly.

The Inquirer has reported that the UK launch has been delayed, and they haven’t given us a new release date.
“ON A DAY that was supposed to herald in the arrival of the first 8MP camera in Blighty, news comes to The INQUIRER that it has been delayed.
We were informed the I8510, also known as Innov8 around the world would pitch up in the UK on Orange first and at a later date on O2, all exclusively for the first month with Carphone Warehouse. How this will change those time frames now the in-store date has been pushed back, no-one seems to know yet. We’ll just have to wait and see what develops.’”
The Samsung i8510 Innov8 ships with the latest Symbian S60 version 9.3 with the Feature Pack 2 installed. Looking at the menu’s its good to see that the phone comes pre installed with Route 66 GPS (very good GPS app I might add, I used this on the Samsung G810), Fring, Name card digitizer (this feature comes with the i900), QuickOffice family, ZIP, Adobe PDF reader.
Here’s a video of the Samsung i8510 Innov8 at the IFA in Berlin, this video shows a Samsung rep explaining a bit about the phone and also taking a photo using the smile dection feature of the 8 mega pixel camera.
Samsung i8510 innov8 is out now! Samsung’s highly awaited Samsung i8510 is now available in the UK, at this stage it has been released only on the Orange network. It came as a surprise to us all as we thought car phone warehouse had the exclusive. So if your eager to get the phone now head on down to your nearest orange store.
*Update: Seems O2 have the phone in stock now in selected stores in London today too.
