Can anyone tell me exactly what GPS + does ? It downloads data, but what then ?

I can't find any info on it in the User Guide.

GPS+ downloads satellite data, which aids faster satellite lock when you are using GPS. That's about as far as I know! Oh, it is recommended that you download this data every seven days to obtain the latest satellite update.

Hi.. I can not update the GPS+, it said define the access point first. I went into connection, then Destination and already defines access point which is my wifi at home. But GPS+ still said there is no access point...
Can someone help me out how to update GPS+ by wifi?

I dont think you can update thorugh wifi. If you load GPS+, press options and then choose settings and then select access point, it dosent give you the option to update through WIFI so you will need to update using the GPRS (theres always a catch). Yes, GPS+ only works if using a proper mobile internet access point (APN).

You can also set GPS+ to automatically download the AGPS info every day / 3 days / 5 days / 7 days, so you never need to worry about running it again

(I have mine set for every 3 days as I have unlimited internet access)

Thanks for helping me out. In windows mobile, I usually update quickGPS by wifi. Samsung makes it hard for people to update GPS +. I hope next firmware can correct this and other issues like not-saved camera's setting and fully compatible with FP1 software... Right now, I wait for next version of Garmin Mobile XT which is superb than route 66
