I know and I disable and delete anything that was suppose to run without having open the garmin xt application. But sh*t happen.. battery is still drained very fast so I just format the mass storage to make sure everything was erased(backup of course took place for the vids/pics) and yes as you already figure this out the garmin was installed in the mass storage rather than phone memory.
P.S. The only thing that I've found in ipmart forum was something about german map which I don't even know if it works or not.. german map isn't work for me anyway, but thank's :- )
btw I've got the maps that I wan't but don't know how to unlock(activate) them :- (
(you can download every map here https://secure.66.com/store/ but we need a licence map crack in order to work, I'm "working" on something.. if it comes succefully I'll tell you how/to if it's not hmmm maybe I'll try different application)
