I dont think phone manufacturers should go above 8MP... I think they should improve the quality of the cameras instead adding to the megapixel count. By the time this mobile comes out, other phones will reach 15MP... My take on this phone is its too hyped, its gonna be released too late and over priced just like the Xperia X1.

While I agree that the hype around it guarantees it will most likely fail to live up to expectations, I still believe it will be fairly good (and hopefully a damn sight better than the X1!)

I used to be an SE fanboy until my K800 got soaked and died. Since then I've been into S60 handsets!

I think secretly I've been wanting to go back to SE but they haven't produced a phone in over 2 years that I would consider great like the N95 or I8510. I think that as long as this keeps the features it's got now and the reviews are positive then this may well be the one that takes me back there.

However, you're smack on about the MP count of camera phones. There is no need to go above 8 until they've improved the whole camera package so it's 100% on par with a digital point and click camera. What difference does it make if this has 4 more MP than the i8510 if you've still got to wait 30 seconds between taking pictures and you can't use the best features of the camera (anti-shake) with the flash on!!

Well ive never had a SE phone... Tbh ive always been afraid of trying them because of some of the hardware failures i read about. And they've never really caught my attention. I also think they lost their touch when it comes to innovation, its not how they used to be.

If anybody other than you reads this then I'm in for a world of pain but I think that the K750i was SE's best phone and they've been going downhill badly since.

P4U have it down as October release but I expect it to be around November.

I've got to get myself a new job by then as I think this might be worth upgrading to!

Idou is a very good phone i was going to buy it, then i changed my mind to Xperia. I prefer SE because it got better sound clarity and camera features than any other brand.
