I also got that error message but after I removed all Samsung components previously installed and tried installing 7.2.249 again, it worked. Try it mate!

by that do u mean a clean uninstall ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "clean uninstall" brother, but I manually deleted all Samsung programs and drivers from the Vista program manager, and installed the 7.2.249.

pretty much what i meant..

that worked well thx GTR83

however the PC Studio update facility work recognize my usb connection.
it downloads updates then cant install them : error message " Your phone is not connected"

Reinstalling the connectivity cable driver from Samsung's site may help. I did that.

im gonna give flashing the firmware a go.

is the flash guide on this homepage the easiest way download new firmware ?
