OK, this is as far as I get. I downloaded the file from rapidshare, saved it to my desktop, but when I try to open it by double clicking I get "windows cannot open this file - to do that it needs to know which program created it".

Any suggestions as to how to overcome this?

You have to download a tiny program named "7zip", google it, and you will find the website. But i think the newest Winrar version has recognition for this kind of file. Both are archivers.
Furthermore, when you come across a file that you don't have a program to open it with, just tipe the extension in google, and you will find the answer.

its is the first time that i write here.
I'm just asking for your help. I am from Greece.
I bought before 1 week the i8510.

The software version of the is: I8510XXHK1, while the Cust. version is: I8510EURHK1. The date is 07/11/2008.

As far as i understand this is not the latest f/w version.
Should i contact with Samsung to provide me the latest f/w or should i try to upgrade it via Apolo? (according the steps that you give in page 1)
I found out that using "Samsung PC Studio", i'm not able to upgrade it.
Something else is, if you know if the latest f/w supports also greek language (not for the whole system), but i.e. for sms?
Finally can you tell me which is the latest f/w?

That problem is universal across all Innov8 firmwares.

Switch on the phone holding the 7 and * keys.
cAfter you connect the phone you should see something like "[COM13] in the Modem box. If that's all good, you're set to go.

hey,..my PDA load fine...when i press 7 and* key...for modem....drive unrecognized....

What can I do to just update the OS of the i8510 and leave the languages on it untouched? I don't want to update my language packs.
