Opera Mobile 10 Beta 2 is now available

Postby GTR83 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 3:28 pm

Like the title, you can download it from m.opera.com/mobile

The new beta now has a download manager and allows you to use Opera Link among others. Although it also brings along a few new bugs, for instance the non-disappearing on-screen keyboard on some slider phones. Strangely it seems to work perfectly on my other phone which is a touchscreen device--it's sad to see how time moves on, guys :D

If any of you prefer a Java browser then the Beta 2 version of Opera Mini 5 also came out. It can be found on (as usual): m.opera.com/next

I already wrote them to forum, if they can implement our "mouse" feature and "connection window" because it's connecting by priority in "Access points" options :D

I don't think they're gonna release a version just to make it 100% suitable with our phone... ;)

If only Samsung would take their superstar products more seriously, we wouldn't have had to discuss this :p

exactly, this phone was something between N95, N96 ... with lower prices, but that support ... last firmware (for me) - January. For our sector it always was a problem, but for my last phone (D600) was firmware modifications, this probably won't be for innov8 :(

I also work for a Korean firm and let me tell you, this kind of behavior is a natural Korean trait ;) but well... All the big guns (except maybe Microsoft) do this kind of thing so I wasn't too surprised.

Just installed opera 10 on my innov 8. But wich application is better to use with this phone, opera 10, or opera mini 5. Whats the difference?

Opera Mobile 10 is Symbian while Opera Mini 5 is Java. They compress web pages differently, which is why you spend more on kb's with Opera Mobile 10. But Opera Mini 5 starts slower on Innov8.
