could someone plz help.

I am trying to update my firmware but my computer does not seem to recognise my phone when i am performing the modem driver test even though i have dowloaded the drivers (SSDN_V1.1.808.7165_SETUP_whql and msxml) latest version of pc studio is also installed. The pda driver test was fine but when performing the modem test nothing shows up on apollo and my computer gives a pop up saying new device found but fails to search for a driver.

I have spent so much time on this but could not figure out. if someone could please provide me a link for this driver or any other advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Are you using Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7? Can you list all the drivers you installed. This will help to know if you have all the needed tools to flash your phone or not.

Thanks for replying. I am using vista. I am not sure where to look for all the drivers on my computer but basically i followed the intstructions in this article that you provided in your thread.... feb-2009-i8510xxib2-free-download-drivers-instructions-t807.html

i then downloaded the tools from the first link which inlcuded apollo, SSDN_V1.1.808.7165_SETUP_whql.exe and msxml.exe. plus i had the latest version of pc studio from before and according the article thats everything you require. but according to this thread (1st page) i noticed that couple of additional tools are required, which are
a) SAMSUNG CDMA Modem driver
b) Samsung USB_Driver MCCI_4.34 WHQL

May be if can get them and then give it a try and see what happens. do you know where i can get them ?

You get those drivers by installing PC Suite.

I live in Norway and want to upgrade my firmware and still be able to have Norwegian as a language. What would be the best way og doing this?
