annoying blur

Postby kurtangleuk » Sat Sep 13, 2008 6:52 am

I really like the macro setting. Has anyone got any idea on if there is a setting that eliminates the blur if im taking a pic of something moving. At the moment, the delay between me pressing the button and taking the pic is creating a really annoying blur. Ive taken the auto focus off to speed it up but is there a specific setting? thanks.

hey i think i know why there is this 'blur' in ur picture. u turned off ur auto focus to take pictures faster. but the purpose of auto focus is to focus th picture by adjusting the lens position. so if u turn that off...it would be logical for u to get blur pictures, macro or not. so pls go on that autofocus as it is the crucial setting that makes all the photos sharp. hope that helps...

It looks like your macro shot is of a subject with not a lot of ambient light so the blur is most likely coming from the camera needing a longer exposure. Try bumping up the ISO to 400 or 800. This should help let in more light so the camera will then choose a faster shutter speed.

In dimly lit settings, even with the flash on, I use ISO 400 and the camera still chooses a shutter speed of 1/20 of a second or so, which will only turn out sharp if the subject isn't moving at all and I'm holding the camera completely still. This is my biggest complaint about the phone, the terrible low light pictures. This is where a Xenon flash really would have helped things. The minute a similar phone with a Xenon flash comes out, I'm bailing on the Innov8.
