Ive read guides and watched videos on how to get this done accomplish nothing since i dont wanna risk messing up my phone by making a mistake or something. I have apollo v5.27 on my computer and checked it in both Modem and DA mode and it seems fine. I also have a hard time figuring out wat firmware to get. I live in New York. Can anyone plzz help me out here. I really wanna use my phone at its fullest. Thx in advance.

South Africa's Latest firmware is the best for the eastern seaboard of the US for cell reception and functionality. I don't use an Innov8 anymore but it was a good run while it lasted . . . .

Yep, the tutorials available on the 'net are not really beginner-friendly which is why I haven't done anything to my FW. Also waiting for some senior members to share their experience. I've even downloaded everything I need... I know my post just sounds so noob-ish!
