Some Quick Photos

Postby Bigus » Wed Sep 03, 2008 12:45 pm

Here are a few pictures taken using the default settings (except the red flowers one which is in Macro mode) and at max resolution (3264x2448) while out on a quick detour at lunch time.

I think they are pretty good for a mobile phone. Of course it is a bright sunny day (or at least bright sunny couple of hours!) which always helps.

Thanks for the sample photos. One word, wow. If you told me that was a digital camera i would believe you. Not bad at all for a mobile phone. Any chance you could give us some night shots or with low lighting, indoors etc?

Well here's a comparison. Two photos taken in my room, with the lights (halogen) switched on. One I took on the Samsung i850 and the other on my Canon S3 IS (big proper camera). Both taken default auto settings with no flash:

These pictures are amazing! Thank you very much for your efforts. :)

Could you please take some photos with flash? You are the only one I know who has already the final version.
Some night shots/shots with low lighting would be very great. Perhaps a video in vga and slow-motion would be fine, too.
I know it's much I want, but I and other people from around the world would be very thankful for that.

Best regards

Indoor, not much lighting in this part of house. Pictures with flash & then no flash:

As for night, here's one in the Night time scene mode with no flash:

Any chance you could post a few more shots using the flash? The outdoor stuff looks amazing but the flash shot looks pretty bad. I'm trying to figure out whether to upgrade from an N82 (and part with my xenon flash) or not. Also, how responsive would you say the camera is? Is there much shutter lag etc?
