Hi Guys,

I hope you can help me.

Basically im looking for games, in particular games that will run on the SCUMM emulator, things like monkey island, beneth a steel sky, Sam&Max......

Obvioulsy i have found the link to the SCUMM emulator here but not much in the way of where i can actually download the games from, unless i have to find an actual copy of the game and install it directly to the phone??

Any help or links will be greatly apreciated

ScummVM do ofer a few downloads of abandonware on their site http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php#extras as for any other games your after, it would either be have the game disc or by finding it somewhare on the internet.

To install the games you jus copy over the data files to a folder on your phone (different games need different install methods but there is a wealth of knolede on the scummvm site which i wont repost here to save repeating whats has been said over there)

Is there anyone that has installed SCUMMVM to their i8510?

I have downloaded versions 0.12.0 and version 0.9.1 - S90

As far as i can see the 0.9.1 is the version that should work on this phone but it just rejects it straight away

Any ideas? or am i just being really dense

I just tried it for you, with the 'scummvm-0.12.0-s60-v3.sis' release and it installed fine for me.

I copied it to the phone and installed it from their using the file manager.
(note. i have hacked my phone with the instructions from the ngage thread and also have 'Software installation' setting set to 'all' in Settings > Settings > Applications > Application manager.

What kind of errors are you getting?

Im not getting any error in particular.

Im attempting to install it Via the PC studio which i think is where the problem is.

It copies the file accross and the phone automatically starts to install it, then a message appears on the phone stating that the application could not be installed or 'application not supported' then rejects the file

Ill have a go copying the file accross then using the phone to install it later tonight

I would ditch PC Studio for installing, copy your files over to the phone if you want to install them, you'll have much more success.

You might want to get hold of a copy of Y Browser to assist you with this, its freeware and will give you more options than the built in file manager.

Hi guys, im back with another question with the ScummVM

I finally got round to loading it on to my phone but have hit anothe bump in the road!
I downloaded the ScummVm Emu from the ScummVM website and i finally found a copy of monkey island that i want to load on there.

I copyied the Instal file across to the phone and installed it, fantasic i thought!

I then opened the Scumm application thon my phone and the Scumm Emulator screen appeared before my eyes, this is brilliant i thought to myself, now all i have to do is load the game data files to it and i can play this game!
But no
I couldnt dao anything
I cant even close the fucking application! lol

It is running but its obviously not calibrated to make use of the optical mouse or even the button on the keypad!, i can see the mouse cursor there but cannot move it! Its not freezing the phone i just cannot do anything within the application.

Someone please help me! can you give me a step by step guide on getting this application to run? ive been trying to get ScummVm loaded to my phne for ages but each time something goes wrong
I have installed the scummvm 0.13.0 s60 v3
If i need any other applications to help load files to the phone please tell me.

Hi there,

Beckwithboy, if i remember rightly, you have to press a key on the phone to change the application input fro default to accept the keypad etc.

If memory serves me it is the green phone button on your keypad (the one used to accept calls) and then you should be able to move the cursor with the buttons around the optical mouse.

Unfortunatly there is no support as yet for the optical mouse as the makers of scummV have no access to the innov8 optical mouse SDK to make use of the optical mouse.
