Were you using the phone memory for storing messages rather than the mass memory?

papa_jo wrote:Hi guys. Been reading this thread for quite a while now and was initially apprehensive about updating my i8510's firmware. Couldn't help it though mainly because of the video/sound sync issue. Anyway, after about an hour, the update finished without a hitch. No 27% freeze or similar problems. Glad (and relieved) to have the following..

Software version:
I8510XXHJ4

Software version date:
19/11/2008

:)

Could you tell us a little bit about the I8510XXHJ4 firmware?

- Is the video/sound sync bug fixed?
- Can geotagging be turned on permanently?

Reports on those issues would be most appreciated

I missed this post!!

This means you've got a more up to date firmware that pretty much anyone that's updated!

Can I ask where you're located?

If I remember rightly from stuclark's post on here XX denotes a UK (and some other Euro countries I think) phone. So this is a mystery as I like many others updated to HJ3 with an Oct date. Now when I go to phone updater it says when phone is not supported, so how are some people now getting HJ4? Samsung WTF is going on?
