Hi guys. Been reading this thread for quite a while now and was initially apprehensive about updating my i8510's firmware. Couldn't help it though mainly because of the video/sound sync issue. Anyway, after about an hour, the update finished without a hitch. No 27% freeze or similar problems. Glad (and relieved) to have the following..

DATED- 29-10-08..DONT WORRY even if u dont know how to update u can do it easily..thanks nokia(symbian) for providing a nise software updater with recovery mode( even u do something wong ur phone wont brick, u can recover your phone in just simple 3 steps)and again update,,i got back all my installed applications except nokia maps on ovi share, the changelog i found tillis only a new dataviz software thats all....any body got official changelog please upload

How do you get this firmware update??? Ive used the samsung suite and when i do the software updater it searches the phone then it errors saying cannot update the update servers, is anyone else got this problem??? Is there any othe way of obtaining the update from an external source?? Also what improvements do this firmware update bring to the phone??? Finally how long does it take to install.

I downloaded and installed pc-studio and use the phone software update but it says my phone is completely up to date??

I have the same problem as el_maiachi... i've kinda posponed upgrading my firmware cause of all the upgrading issues that i've read about, but yesterday i decided to try it but it says there is no available update at the moment. Could it be that the new update isn't really a new update ahahha just wondering... >,<

I contacted samsung and i was right with my speculation that the update is a regional thing...

They said it´s Uk-only and not supported in Germany for now...but I should be patient, there will be an Update for German-Users too ^^

i done the firmware update last night and now my message symbol keeps flashing!!!! whats happened!!! Any help i would be grateful....
