If I can get the hack to work at some point so I can install all the apps that are on my N82 this will be by far the best phone in the land. At the moment for me there are too many limitations.

as soon as developers optimise their stuff for the 2430 chip in the samsung and the different accelerometer, then we'll be fine :D

Nokia's stuff will never work unless its not signed or requiring the Nokia certificate thingy built in to Nokia's Symbian phones...some are, some aren't. Pesky Nokia.

It needs to be sorted out. I dont know who is responsible, Nokia or Samsung and I can understand why they both want to protect themselves but surely its win win for both parties if the OS is Opened up and made a truely free platform.

Nokia have purchase symbian with the intention of having all the leading manufacturers on board and maintain Symbian as the leader in the smartphone OS market. It needs to work extra hard to fight off competition from Apple, Google, Microsoft etc and it can only do that with the support of the likes of Samsung.

Samsung need to take a leaf out of Nokia's books and create a whole user experience. Its all well and good having the hardware they have on a stable and very well built OS but look at Nokia's aim to creat complete convergence. Simple things like integrating Podcasting into the music player, Betalabs software, integrated search, shareonline etc are all things that I want on my device.

I am working on trying to get the hack to work to lift some of the restrictions on the Innov8. If anyone gets there before me let me know.

So the main restriction I take it is installing (Nokia) S60 apps on the I8510?

Its a big restriction, but I'm sure someone will find a hack for this asap.

This is the first time I have been desperately waiting for a new phone, got it and then pout my sim card back in my old phone (N95) and carried on using it  It's a lovely phone, much faster (for me) and all the familiariry of said old phone but there just isn't enough about it right now. As above, if it were possible to further open it up, that would be marvellous
