PDA USB drivers not recognised in Apollo

Postby frankie-s » Wed Jan 27, 2010 8:49 am

Okay, I have been on this forum for days to find a solution but without luck. ALIU has been a great help and I followed his link to the collection of software needed to flash my i8510. The problem is that I have installed everything as it should and everything works as it should; the phone is normally recognised in PC Studio 7 in all phone modes (PC Studio, Image transfer, etc). When connecting, it installs the correct drivers and all is ok. No problem there. When I start Apollo and hold 7 + *, it sees the MODEM drivers in Apollo. So that is working as well. BUT... When I start the phone with 1 + 4 held, the system says (I tried XP and Win7) installing USB DEVICE. It looks for the drivers but the prompts me that 'the hardware cannot be installed'. It just doesn't find the USB DRIVERS. Is it maybe possible to get these drivers seperately and direct Windows to them when it is looking for the drivers? Can anybody please help me? Thanks guys!

Additional info: In device manager I can select the properties from the UNKNOWN DEVICE (when I have my phone connected in bootloader mode - switch on with 1+4 held - and click the DETAILS tab to see the device USB info. Can somebody post them here so I can see if mine are the same?
