I think not only "something" has been done right with the Innov8. They did MOST THINGS right, and leave some faults that are either existent on every S60 smartphone, or ones that we can always live with. Like the dust under the screen - I can't really say that I care :)

And about app compatibility - not all Nokia-approved apps work, but the ones that I see as "must have" are all working smoothly, and that gives Samsung's software team another thumbs up. Probably they intentionally let Innov8 be a "completely hackable" device? If Samsung makes another S60v3 device which improves even slightly everything they did on the Innov8, then I will definitely be sold.

The (sh)i(t)Phone is way overrated. It started as cult offering which made people all go wow and "yeah, if I wanna be unique then I have to get that phone". They keep boasting about the superiority of the platform, especially when jailbroken. But like many others think, I also think that any manufacturer who imposes the need to have a 3rd party app just to be able to use bluetooth is crazy. Now the iPhone 3GS may be a good phone, but if they keep that kind of policy they will soon reach their limit.

My phone has no dust under the screen. Honestly, at the end of the day, this phone is the best out there at this moment. This coming from someone that has used a lot of phones under the sun. It's been a pleasure to have the Innov8 till this day.

The people that buy Iphones are the same people that were buying Starbucks coffee like it was crack 5 or so years ago. It's a fad and it will pass.

As a person and an Innov8 user I only care for two kinds of cracks. Cracked apps and "that" crack. The real one :)

What do you think Samsung will call their successor to the Innov8 if there's ever going to be one? I think I won't like its "pet name" after Pilot (i7110) and Acme (i8910 HD).

And by the way deroo, what does a long walk on a beach has to do with the rest of your "preferences"?

in a couple of days my inno will become 1 year old.

so i have this phone for over a year. and i am absolutely loving this device. i have never had such a good cellphone before in my life. my phone, before this one was a samsung D500 (little cute black phone, totally loved it. so i was loyal to samsung, and i didnt come from Nokia)
to start i think the keypad is awesome. texting is heaven and it texts smooth, fast, and effortless. i do have to agree with darkpandor, the shortcut keys are a pain but i do have to admit im glad theyre there. and with experience u learn to evade them while texting. about texting, i am amazed i can store so many messages in my phone. last time i checked i had like 1700 messages. having a message from a friend that is like 1 year old and stuff. i was like wow...
same thing with contacts u can add as many as the phone memory can bare..
other than that i love the camera. people can judge, say, whatever they want. but in my eyes, my 8mgpxl is the best camera phone out there. yes even now, one year later. i think the symbian OS is one of the best mobile OS out there and i cannot complain about anything.
browsing is awesome too. and the little mousepad is amazingly smooth, i wouldnt be the same without it.
videocalling is very cool too. as you can swap between camera's, from front to back. the possibilities are endless!

as i am a hardcore game fan, and i even like games on my mobile phone. i enjoy playing asphalt 4 and fifa 08 while waiting on the bus. now even with hacking we get to unlock NGAGE games and everything...

there is nothing else to say, this phone is amazing.
i remember i bought this phone a year ago. and i payed a shocking 640 euros for the phone. many friends of mine said i was stupid, dumb, for spending so much money for a mobile device. well.. i have no regrets.. because if i could go back in time.. i would do it again.

Happy Birfday to Samsung Innov8 i8510.
and i wont be changing my phone anytime soon.
