The Samsung support site now lists the i8510 as having an update available.

Also, there is FAQ as well.

Seems that new PC studio doesn't fully support Vista64. At least I had the same problem on a Vista64 PC.


A dang, time to breakout the old trusty XP. At least they are not as bad as Sony, they must have the worst software engineers ever.

True

Nokia were as bad though. They knew that there updater didn't work properly with Vista so they withdrew all support for it!

Anyway that's off-topic :D

I found that version 7_7.1.47.8 was a bastard to install on Vista, it kept saying the installation source was not valid. If ever there was a time to breakout XP, it's now!

There is nothing at all! Nothing new I mean. And the PC Studio works like a shit, sorry, but that`s the way it is.
I even can not upgrade my phone. Bullshit. Samsung, I am very :(

I installed it on my XP machine and it told me my phone model wasn't supported. I don't know what's worse, not being supported or not being found.

Same here, the answer is that the phone software updater does not support the connected model. Crap.

I ran software updater and found my phone.
The upgrading was 30-40 minutes,but since I did this the software updater not recognize my phone :!:
