I have being able to install the new route Route 66 on mobile. Though some of the features are locked the maps are absolutely free. You can download it from this link. Navigation with this new Route 66 is pretty fast. Above you can see a screen dump of me driving through Texas.
To install simply extract all the files to your mass memory(drive e) and install the accompanying installation files. Once done activated and use Route 66 Sync to download the maps.
