Hi,

I have a problem that I do not get email notification anymoe on my phone.
It is a imap account that will be checked every 1 hour.
I reset the notification in the "user settings"->"new e-mail alerts" several times, I deleted the account and recreated again.
Switched on and off the automatic retrieval several times. toggled the e-mail notifications and e-mailt retrieval many times.
I turned them both off and on, etc, etc, Nothing seems to make any difference.
I also reflashed the phone, etc.
Email (headers) are being downloaded though, and can be seen in the phone. So only the notification part is not working.

I always used the e-mail retrieval with success, but why it now died??
The phone was delivered with the I8510XXHH9 version. It did not had this problem, but was slow and had some other bugs.
But if someone can poast this "old" HH9 version, i would apreciate it very much. Email checking is more important for me, even with the bugs i had in the HH9 version, than nothing at all on a faster phone.

the firmware parts you use are way to different (release date wise).

use a fresher dutch csc release. you could try PDA_CSC_I8510KPNHK2 which is a bit newer.

sadly there is no dutch firmware (where you would take the csc from) from 2009, but aren't there parts of africa where dutch is spoken ? you might try to check if some african firmware csc got dutch language ... there are a few african firmwares from 2009 ... check at share4gsm or here

Hi,

I flashed the phone now with I8510XXIB2 and CSC_I8510MEDIB1 (all english) but have the same problem.
I could not find the I8510KPNHK2 as suggested, but tried to stay with the same CSC version that is included in the I8510XXIB2.
The Nokia N95 does have the same problem and a workaround was to remove and set the automatic retrieval everytime the phone was switched off and on again.

Does nobody on this forum sees this problem? Or are you using a different setup to read email?

Can somebody send me a link to the I8510XXHH9 version or PM me the link?
