There is currently no latin american firmware for this phone.

This is a great post!

I'm also using the ZXIE1 firmware - it's great!

... Although I think that the old XXIB2 firmware had better battery performance than with the ZXIE1 - or at least that's my experience... What's your opinion on that?

I wouldn't doubt that, but I'm a fan of newer firmwares. So I switched.

I also switched, but after using the ZXIE1 (may 13 '09 version), I'm thinking about switching back to the XXIB2. The battery seems to drain rapidly with the newest version. But is it only me, or what do you other guys think?

It's a pity, because for once the phone worked 95 % as it should (autostart works, sound recorder works, data connection works etc.). The only two problems that isn't fixed is the battery and the sound in video.
