I basically took the DJIC2 firmware and there are a few folders in that firmware that can be switched around.
the rofs2, rofs3, and rofs4, folders can be switched from other firmwares. I've been messing with this idea for a long time now. I've tried a whole long match up of things and well, this seems to be the best match up from my experiences.
I took the rofs2 from the South African CSC.
(Side Note) Why the CSC? Because firmwares that have a seperate CSC normally have the rofs 2, rofs 3, and rofs 4, files in the actual Code folder called rofs.dummy or something like that.
So I took the South African CSC's rofs 2, rofs 3, and rofs 4, and replaced them in the firmware for DJIC2.
There is a a little hitch. You have to rename the rof 2, rofs 3, and rofs 4, to the the same as what it was in DJIC2.
Then load it into apollo. I used XXIB2 for the modem, and DJIC2 for code and CSC.
I loaded it all on and it works like a charm now. 76.2 mb of ram and the phone is extremely fast now.
Once again do this at your own risk.
Currently my phone is on
Phone:I8510XXIB2
Code: I8510DJIC2
CSC: I8510XFAIC2
Will it be possible to do this and then use the CSC: I8510TENIA2 instead of the CSC: I8510XFAIC2 and still have it to work?
And how fast is your combo comparing to other FW's?
I'm for now testing out: Modem I8510ZXIE1 with Code_I8510XXIA1 and CSC_I8510TENIA2, and it have improved speed comparing to XXHJ3 witch the phone came with but it is still a bit laggy at some points.
Thanks
