Hello Guys, I´ve something to tell you!
Yesterday night, I flashed my I8510. It had FW XXHH6 before. And now I wanted to have the newest IE1 but, I needed German language. I read here several times, that flashing with IE1 and using CSC from IB2 wouldn´t work and that the phone does a boot-loop. But I wanted to see it with my own eyes^^, so I flashed my phone with IE1 and used the CSC of IB2 and everything worked fine, verywell. I now have the newest FW and a lots of languages and of course, the german language. The phone is working faster....the cam is alot faster and quality is muuuch muuch better then before. One thing I tried at night was my GPS with GarminXT. There were little problems....it took some minutes until GPS signal was found and Garmin stucks a few times, but, this was okay, cause this happend always, when I used the GPS for the first time. Now it works all fine. The quality of the sound recorder is also very good, I can choose between amr & wav. Menu speed is also faster and I have some new tools and proggs. The phone is very stable with that combo, the only thing that crashed my phone was a software called: NightLight. With that you can use your phone flashlite as a torch. It works very well when I want to use the flashlite...but it reboots my phone, when I want to use the backlight of my display as a torch, but this isn´t that bad, cause I just wanted to use the flashlight ^^. Now...I continue trying things out! One of that is for IPlay games, this are games, where you control with your phone camara the movements on the game...I hope, it´ll work now! Last thing to the battery....it´s just one night over....since I flashed and I installed alot of software on my phone, that I had before flashing.....and, I couldn´t see any improvements on the battery yet ( I also used the GPS ca. 1h to test the software). But I will have a look at it......
One thing, with the new FW, my phone feels heavier :D

Last but not least...I atteched a screenpic of apollo flashing my phone...everything went well..no failures no booting-loops.

The PDA-code is the part where most of the changes happen and you've choosen the one from the IB2-firmware, which means that you're using IB2 in common and not IE1.
The modem code is just for basic telephone features and for the reception.

-pda is the biggest part and will decide what functions are available in symbian
-(software version)phone/modem is the software that makes your phone make calls and do data connections
-(custom version)csc is a customization that is most likely from your provider (if branded) or for your region and does have the languages and menu-text available for the countries of your region
