I"ve successfully been able to make a hybrid using the Indian (I8510DJIC1) firmware's PDA and CSC images with this firmware. it works pretty well but I"m not sure if I"m the one to confirm that. everything works as it should.. I"m not sure about the battery life or the speed and response but according to me its alright

I just flash this FW 2 day ago.
this is first time for me but I have the fonts problem, that can not display Thai.....
now I can correct it by use FontRouter + FontRouterMan.
So happy for this FW.

Can anyone confirm if this firmware(taiwan) is able to mute shutter sound when taking photo? How's the audio and sound quality compared to the other firmwares?

I don't get the purpose of this at all. To me it makes no sense. Why mix the firmwares? Does it give you different languages or something of that nature?

what to expect?

pros

phone response is faster
web loads faster
camera focuses faster

cons

you cannot access news sites in the internet. ex cnn
no route 66
no zip
the font used through out seems a little bigger than other firmwares. its like everything is in bold characters.
the firmware took up a lot more space in the c drive.

This is all the changes ive seen by far, that i havent seen in this discussion hope this helps. overall am undecided whether to recommend this firmware, since a lot of websites would be automatically blocked by this version.

I've been able to get English as a default, french, deutsch, italian and spanish languages. The best part is that I get to have all the programs from the indian firmware. The zip man is available, smart reader, etc at least the phone dose not feel as empty as it would be with the str8 chinese firmware.
