I8510 Review after heavy use!

Down Sides:
1-You cant use the front camera unless you decide to have Video call.
2-ASA you face the phone down(LCD facing ground) any music playback on the background stops playing,by this you cant enjoy the speaker fully.
3-You cant record any sound while you are talking( this is possible in N95 and N96)
4-Dust get into phone easily
5-no smiley on txt messaging(cant see nor send any) have to do it manually.
6-you cant use flash individually maybe as a torch(BULLSHIT)
7- secret codes seems never comes out(the codes for nokia phones seems always available)
8-Every time you want to search, you need to locate it starts from your memory selection(even if you are in your desired folder)

so many people complain about battery, well this phone aint using nuclear energy, look at the size of lcd and its brightness.

2- this is a due to the etiquette setting .... turn it off, to prevent it from stopping playback while face down
3- samsung does prevent that, because in some countries where the innov8 is sold it is prohibited to record phone calls
5- you don't see them, but you can send them ... press "." twice and then * and it will create you the smileys :*, :), :( and so on
6- there is just no application for that yet

download mp3 pro ... it is a free application from lonely cat games ... you can rate music there ...

2. I have the same problem, I contacted Samsung UK and they said you should never have that kind of problem and I might got a faulty unit....But I tryed a hard reset and it solved the problem

I must say the phone quality is excellent.

but the way the phone construct is kind of fragile? especially the glide up and down, its a little bit loose? i mean if you put in a pocket the phone can be easily glide up and down. The nokia N95-3 slide is pretty tight and secure. get what i mean?

I've been using WinMo for two years and decided to go with the Innov8 Symbian, I must say its a superb phone for camera, music and phone. The symbian OS has less features than the WinMo...well, i couldn't ask for more cuz all i need from dis fone is take/receive calls, take pictures at the club/party, listen music like a bosse system in my room. surf the net and youtube once awhile cuz the screen isn't too bit and video quality on youtube is bad. its not as good as the iphone due the small lcd maybe? :D

Could anyone confirm this guide to use the flash light as a torch? Is it working?

1.Go to Settings > Personal > Buttons > Flash Light tab at bottom
2. Tick the Press Volume key long on Today screen to turn on Flash Light
3. Press OK to save the Setting

You may now press and hold the Volume Key for a 2 secs and the Flash Light will turn on for you to use as a Torch. To off the light just hold the Volume Key for 2 secs and the Flash Light will be off.

No, there is no setting on the i8510 to use the flashlight as a torch and to the best of my knowledge there isn't a working app that can replicate this either.
