If you want to format the phone's C: drive just turn it off, then turn it back on while holding the 0 and 8 keys. This seems to work on ALL firmwares, and none of your stuff installed on the mass storage or memory card will disappear.

java apps (almost all) and some symbian apps from mass memory and Memory card will install again after restart ...

I realized, that innov8 has no future anymore > Nokia N900 (With portable version of Debian Linux), but I still visit sometimes this site :)
