Hi... i am new to this mobile phone hacking stuff so plz give me a break if i start being noobishly irritating
First of all, i'd like to see that my basic intention is to (finally!!!) install apps on my i8510 8gb... I am not so sure if hacking would do any good to that?!
On topic now, i gave my IME number to the site, waited for a day and then came back. I got the certificate now...it's a folder containing 5 files, of whom one is the actual certificate, one is a registry key named key , another 2 SISX files with weird names and a web shortcut file... should i put ALL this in my phone?
But my main issue is that i can't get to INSTALL the s60SignSis_V1.0 app... what do you mean by that? I put it in a folder in my phone but it doesn't seem to recognise it... i also tried to "sign" it by using the symbinsigned site ( i am managed to register there...) but nothing worked! I had previously seen a "technique" in which you attach the SIS file on an email and then open it, but this DOESN'T WORK too... i am a bit desperate down here, please help me

download rompatcher+ , sign it with this certificate (by application in win), install it, copy patches to e:\patches and run that rompatcher, all of it should be in this forum (have no time to search it)

Well thx for your advice but i am still facing problems...
I downloaded rompatcher+ (latest version). You say that i should sign it with a certificate ( which certificate???) by application in win( you mean symbiansigned???) then install it ( what do you mean by install... put it in the phone folder?) and then copy the patches to e:\patches ( is this a phone folder? i don't seem to find it in my i8510...:/)
As you can see i have lots of questions... Sorry if i am starting to outrage you Just me being noob

ahh ok there is main problem, that you don't know basics of symbian
certificate is those files, which you obtained from that site ...
application is for windows and it's here ( http://uiqmania.cz/index.php?page=downl ... 1182884233 ) Just push "download"
Install means "Upload anywhere to mobile and then run it .."
That Patches folder you has to make before that ...

My first advice is, download X-plore for browsing your phone data ( http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=xplo ... rm=symbian )
without it is everything much complicated ...

I downloaded the app you said and i managed to sign some apps...
But when i upload them on my phone ( on the memory card to be specific ) i can't seem to find them anywhere...
Also this folder, e:/patches should be on my phone? Should i create it via pc or internally by the phone? And there, should i c/p all the rompatcher2.6 and extrarompatcher files?

via what did you uploaded those apps ? Via PC Studio ? If yes, it should be in e:(or f:)\install
that folder you can create in phone, it doesn't matters ...

Well,i connected my phone to the pc via usb ( pc recognises it ) and c/p the files into my memory card ( phone was in pc studio mode...)
If you mean by the pc studio application, well i face problems there too!My phone can't be recognised by the app... it's like i haven't connected it to the pc! I tried reseting the phone to manufacturer settings ( as i saw in other posts...) but it didn't work... I also installed some usb drivers , i guess the latest, but nothing worked :/
