I have downloaded maps successfully by downloading to the following folder structure:

E:\System\Apps\Route66_V8\Data\Maps

I connected my phone via the USB cable, went into Mass storage and created the structure and it worked after I'd switched off the phone and then switched it on again and downloaded the maps (Geneva and The Alps so more than the 40MB free on the C: memory).

Hope this helps someone. I still can't get updated to the latest version of the app as I have the dreaded "Update Error" occurring. Have written to 66.com support but no reply as yet.

Yeah I know what you mean I would rather use them but as of yet there is no report of either Tomtom or Garmin working on the I8510.

All I want is SATNAV to work on my shiny new I8510 phone but with no luck

I tried Garmin XT on the i8510 this morning with no joy. It installed but nothing happened when I tried to open the app

You must not have installed Version 5.0. It was revised for the latest Symbian phones. See my post for instructions....

P.S. Except if you mean the actual program, if you mean that go to: http://www.66.com/samsung/index.php?cid=UK&act=2 the user HoggeINNOV8 posted a link in a simular(route66) post and it works just fine, the problem is that we need unlocked maps or a way to unlock(activate) them. Currently I have:

- United Kingdom and Ireland
- Eastern Europe
- Balkans and Eastern Europe

but no way to unlock them.. I've found a patch but doesn't work, still need an activation
