i had the same problem a few times. The 1st time, i took it to carphone warehouse for warranty job, it came back nice BUT it took almost 4 weeks. The 2nd time this happened i took it back there again and they managed a 2 week turn around this time BUT it came back with a fingerprint smudge under the screen! useless. So i decided to take mine apart last night with the help off a guide i found online. I have to say, unless you are a complete fool, its a very simple and easy task to do. Four screws under battery cover, Credit card to seperate pieces, then 2 screws at the top, again credit card to separate whilst gently removing cable underneath. Then 6 screws to remove the slide. Another 4 to remove back plate on screen, and your pretty much done. So glad. No dust, no fingerprints, no stupidly long waiting times. And more importantly my phone still works :D

.. hm, looks simple, but I'm afraid of assembly more than disassembly, hardware is not my area .. but I guess I'll try these days ..

thanks!

assembly is the easiest part. In my opinion the most difficult part is re-attaching the cable shown in the 4th picture. And that part isnt to tricky. i found that sliding the phone half open helps as the cable is then at its longest. Hope you all are fluff free soon
