Samsung i8510 INNOV8 User Forums

Since i own a Samsung I8510, i gat problem in connecting it to PC via USB Cable. I have downloaded necessary drivers from http://samsungmobile.com and i have PC Studio 7.7 and 3.2. But my phone doesnt ask of connection mode like nokia phones used to. I even formatted my phone maybe it will solve the problem. But tyha shit persists. Fellow Inno8ters help me out pls.

The phone USB port and charging port are thesame. So my phone just keep charging when connected via USB to my PC, INSTEAD of asking connection mode.

I have PC running Vista with 1 GB RAM and 80 HD. Service Pack 2, 32-Bit.

Help me out cos i have to send some vids to ma phone.

hey u all how u doing ?

i m unable to connect my phone with PC or PC suite. upon connecting it with USB cable, the connection mode menu (the one with, PC suite, mass storage, media transfer etc) it didn't display, the phone just starts charging.


please help me out here.

have you tried another USB ports ? or on another PC ?

yes man, i did ...

u know what? in apollo, it confirms PDA driver (pressing 1 n 4 together) but it doesn't confirm modem driver...

windows keep saying that install samsung cdma technologies driver for that....

but i use to do it with the old firmware.. i think the new fW flashing screws up the phone...

upon inserting the USB cable, that connection menu, (mass storage, pc suite, media transfer) which ussually pops up in the phone, is not popping any more..

i cannot be sure what exactly is hapenning, for modem is separate driver, but main part of FW is PDA, you don't has to reflash modem part ... And I had reflashed my phone manytimes, it's not "deadly" for phone ... With connection could be problem in connector ...

no buddy, it aint no connector problem.

listen when u connect ur phone to ur computer, a menu pops up in ur phone, (connection mode menu) where it ask which modes u want to connect
(pc suite, media transfer, mass storage)...

the problem is that my phone is not showing that menu, it just starts charging.... and i cannot communicate with the pc suite either.


help me out here brother...
