hey guys

im new to the samsung innov8 but coming from a nokia N95 im assuming all of the embedded series 60 features are there, including software updating

after trying to update the phone through samsungs PC studio the applications launch fine and im getting no error messages but when the symbian software updater begings it hangs and i mean really hangs on step one in fact it has never gone by this step it just has the phone with the magnifying glass on it and nothing more!

is there a fix for this or does it just take a long time

Are u using Windows Vista? Because the whole PC Studio doesn't always work correctly on this OS. (Shame on u, Samsung!)
So if u have got an old PC running Windows XP you should try it on this PC. It should work then if it can connect to the Update server...

im using XP though i was doing it with the basic NET Framework 1 i've updated it to all the latest software could that have had a problem with thte PC detecing the phone software version?
