Hi Guys, Please help me ............i have installed garmin application from the link http://www8.garmin.com/software/GarminM ... _50010.exe and also generated code as instructed and paste it on notepade i.e.SW.UNL on desktop but notepad doesnt allow me to change the extension from txt to UNL. I did this on phone but still not working.

In addition to this, whenerver i start Garmin application it starts to locate external gps via blutooth. cant get this thing to work with internal gps CAN YOU PLEASE HELP. Its been two days and i have done everything i could to get this thing dobe but NOOOO

I also need to know if i was able to get internal gps working then where can i download latest UK MAPS ?????

Ok, I am new to this as well just like you so my knowledge is limited please note that.

I had difficulties running GPS for at least a few days finally, at least my phone recognizes the internal gps even though I could not make it work yet. Anyway...

Try this, open notepad, write the code inside, save as and then choose all files type not .txt , then name it. It should work. What is your OS? Vista 32bit?

Your notepad files does not work, that is why you have that bluetooth message. I had the exact same problem.

Also, try installing the latest version of Garmin which is 5.00.40

Thanks, Finally got internal GPS working. Cheers.

But there arent any maps displayed spent this wekend to find UK Maps without any luck.

Where can i download the uk maps ? then i understand i will need to generate code and make GMAPUSSL.UNL file and put it on garmin folder as others stated. correct me if i am wrong here !!!!

I am using windows vista 32 bit.

Please note that not all versions of Garmin XT will work on i8510.

I personally tested and can confirm working versions from 5.00.30 and above.

Please read carefully my thread "Detailed instructions(how to) install Garmin XT on Samsung i8510 Innov8.

i can confirm that that the garmin 4.70 and 5.0 5.10 5.20 and 5.50 work on the i8510 whitch ive had working on mine
