Hi All!

This topic is intended for newbies to post various questions they have that may not warrant their own topic to ask. For more complicated questions, it is expected that a new topic is created like normal.

The general range of questions that may be posted here involve clichés such as:

ufym.net has a few games and apps, however you have to sift through quite a bit of porn!

Hi all, can anyone tell me how to use the adobe reader that is pre installed, to be more specific i want to put the full pdf manual onto my phone so i can have a quick reference. I have the file on but when i try to view it through adobe all i get is a grey screen?

Also, How do i install the memory patch, ive tried doing it from my laptop, by putting it on the phone, from my laptop it just keeps coming up with UAC (im running vista) and on the phone it does not find the file?

any ideas?

With regards to the patch, that needs to installed using the PC suite that came with the phone or can be downloaded here http://uk.samsungmobile.com/supports/so ... sw_type=SW

Once your phone is connected and you're up and running, you have to use the "install applications" feature. If the memory patch doesn't display right away, use the browse feature to browse through the files in your laptop to find it.

Once you've got it, select install application and the magic will happen!

With regards to the PFD thing. All I can suggest is try zooming in and out and see if that helps. Other that that I'm afraid I don't know!

Hi again, thats wat i dont understand, i'm using application install feature but is it just mine or? when im wanting to install a file on the left where it displays your computer i cant get into my documents, however even if i move the memory patch to my desktop (which worked on over features i installed) it just wont recognise the memory patch, i did un extract it and everything. now im totally lost. Is it because on the samsung website it said only for windows xp?

Regarding the pdf file i tried viewing from all levels of zoom. However i stumbled across this where other people where having trouble with pdf files over 1mb, but they are using N95's dont know if anyone else is aware....

Ah I see!

I don't think it's a Vista problem as I did mine with that.

Have you tried connecting the phone in Mass Storage mode and putting the file on either a memory card or the mass memory? I know you probably have but I just wanted to be sure!


I'm afraid I can't help with the PDF reader, I don't know if any one else out there has a solution to this?

Downloaded one theme frm http://www.symbianthemes.us/samsung_innov8/ after installing when tried to apply the theme, the phone got froze, had to remove the battery and when tried to start the phone again it doesnt start infact it gets really slow on the samsung logo on start up and eventually when it start the screen appears blank and can see only clock and battery meter. can anyone help how i can remove this theme or reformat the phone

Yeah i have tried via mass storage still nothing. (it's always worth another shot) I was looking in my phone and i found all the model, type, software version etc. in the options menu there is the check for update option i clicked this and it requires my to create a new server profile i kinda then got lost in what to do next. any ideas? i thought this would connect with samsung or something and bring in the update automatically???

if your phone is connected to the PC and you installed the theme into Mass Memory, then it will automatically use a blank theme.
